NYSC 2026 Batch A Registration: Complete Step-by-Step Guide
Overview
The NYSC 2026 Batch A registration is expected to open shortly after the Senate-approved lists are submitted by institutions across the country. This guide walks you through every step of the process.
Whether you are a first-time registrant or re-mobilizing after deferral, this guide covers what you need to know.
Step 1: Verify Your Senate List Status
Before anything else, confirm that your name appears on the NYSC Senate List verification portal at portal.nysc.org.ng.
If your name is not found, contact your institution's Student Affairs or NYSC Desk Officer immediately. You cannot proceed with registration without Senate List verification.
Step 2: Create or Log In to Your NYSC Account
Visit portal.nysc.org.ng and either create a new account or log in with your existing credentials.
Use a valid, accessible email address — all NYSC communications will be sent there. Keep your password safe.
Step 3: Complete the Online Registration Form
Fill in your personal details: full name, date of birth, state of origin, LGA, contact information, and next of kin.
Enter your academic details: institution name, course of study, qualification, and year of graduation.
Select your preferred state of deployment. Note that NYSC does not guarantee placement in your chosen state.
Upload a clear passport photograph with a white background (not older than 3 months).
Step 4: Make Payment
After completing the form, proceed to the payment section. You can pay using bank cards (Visa/Mastercard), bank transfer, or at designated bank branches.
Keep your payment receipt and reference number — you may need them for verification later.
Step 5: Print Your Green Card (Call-up Letter)
After successful registration and payment, your Call-up Letter (Green Card) will be available on the portal a few weeks before the camp reporting date.
Log in to the portal, navigate to "Print Call-up Letter," and download. Print on A4 paper, preferably in color.
The Green Card contains your deployment state, reporting date, and camp address.
Common Registration Mistakes to Avoid
•Entering a date of birth that doesn't match your institution's records
•Using an incorrect matric number
•Uploading a passport photo that doesn't meet the white-background requirement
•Not completing payment before the registration deadline
•Ignoring JAMB regularization (if applicable)

After registration, monitor the NYSC portal regularly for your Call-up Letter availability.
