Who Is Eligible for NYSC?

All Nigerian graduates of universities and polytechnics (HND holders) who obtained their degrees/diplomas at the age of 30 or below are required to participate in the NYSC program.

This includes graduates from both Nigerian and foreign institutions recognized by the Federal Government.

Registration Requirements

To register for NYSC, you will need the following:

• A valid email address and phone number

• Passport photograph with white background (not older than 3 months)

• Date of birth certificate or sworn affidavit/declaration of age

• Academic credentials (degree certificate or statement of result)

• Your name on the institution's Senate-approved mobilization list

• National Identification Number (NIN)

Who Is Exempt?

The following categories of graduates are exempt from NYSC:

• Graduates who were above 30 years of age at the time of graduation

• Graduates who have served in the Nigerian military

• Graduates with certain documented medical conditions

• Members of the Nigerian Police Force and other security agencies

Exempt graduates receive an Exemption Certificate instead of a Discharge Certificate.
