Common Registration Errors
Solutions to frequent issues encountered during NYSC registration.
Date of Birth Mismatch
This is one of the most common errors. It occurs when the date of birth on your NYSC registration does not match what your institution submitted.
Solution: Contact your institution's NYSC desk officer to verify and correct the date of birth on their records. You may need to provide an affidavit or birth certificate.
Name Not on Senate List
If the portal says your name is not on the Senate-approved list, it means your institution has not yet submitted your name or there was an error during submission.
Solution: Visit your department and NYSC desk officer with your statement of result or transcript. Request to be added to the supplementary list.
Payment Failures
Payment may fail due to network issues, bank problems, or insufficient funds.
Solution: Wait 24-48 hours and check your payment status on the portal. If the amount was debited but not reflected, contact your bank for the transaction reference number and report to NYSC.
